Before visiting a place I always read the reviews and after reading the reviews I thought to myself, we had to have Walter as our chef, BUT that was not the case. We had “Ray don’t play” as our chef and let’s just say he stands by his name!! LOL. He entertained from the beginning to the end. We laughed so much and the food was amazing!! 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend!! Thank you Ray for a great experience 😊

It's always a great time. I will say that the show use to be better and a lot funnier. But what matters the most is that the food is good... which it is.

No complaints. But it's a bit hidden and the directions on the recording don't help. An older Spanish woman cleaning building 44 helped me and I am so thankful because I would've never found it. The food was pretty good, great customer service, I will come back again!

We ordered a « eat all you can sushis » but this is actually a scam, you can order only 4 times 3 sushis. They also added tax after and a service charge so we ended up paying over 700 LE which was not what we had calculated. And the worst part is that sushis were not good, the fish was not fresh… fingers crossed we won’t be sick tonight!

One of the best places to have sushi in town. Specially with their generous all-you-can-eat offer on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The staff here are amazing with children! Kid friendly doesn’t really describe how kind they are every time we come with toddlers. Balloons, extra attention, even the chef gets into treating kids special and giving their parents a moment of grace. There’s enough natural noice in the restaurant to cover any squeals of excitement!

Love this place and return again and again for the good food and most excellent service.

I believe this could just be a product of staffing shortages and would like to give them the benefit of the doubt in that regard, however, we waited over 2 hours when we had a reservation for 7:00. We showed up at 7:00 and we weren’t sat till 7:20. It took until 7:45/7:50 for someone to take our drink order and they only did that after we flagged someone down, no one ever actually came to the table. We were compensated with some free appetizers, but we did not get to see our chef until after 9:00. We had come for a birthday dinner with a friend and had an hour drive back so the extended wait put us home after midnight on a Sunday. In addition the wait staff was not attentive and every time we needed refills (which was a lot in 3 hours) we had to flag someone. They also continued to seat people after us, who were also waiting a ridiculous amount of time. In addition one member of our party found a piece of their ice machine in her drink. The bathrooms also had not been attended to as the paper towel dispenser was broken, the door handle was broken and one bathroom was out of order. It was comical how horrible this experience was honestly. Then after that they tried to charge an 18% service fee for a server we saw maybe twice in our 3 hour experience. We tried to still have fun with the chef and make the most of it though bc he was clearly the only one working and just in a hard spot so that isn’t his fault. Overall I would not come here again.

This place is alright, for a chill lunch. I had never been here before, and the inside was so much cooler than I was anticipating! It was nice weather, and covid, though so I sat outside. Which was fine.

I like the 3 roll lunch deal pricing; but there was far too little eel, and far too thick of sweet potato. The "spicy" salmon, wasn't spicy at all. Classic cheaper ingredient overload. Also, the sweet potato seemed fried.  If you are gluten sensitive, you may want to ask about that.

Overall, it's an ok neighborhood place. I'd come back and try the hibachi and cocktails maybe.

My Ton Katsu (fried pork chop) came with salad and miso soup.      The two moist chops were enough for two meals.  Always room for mochi ice cream for dessert.  Nice people, excellent service, good food.

We ordered $16 dollar rolls and they were so tiny and did not look like the pictures. The sushi is downsized and it’s a rip off. Also, the menu was so unprofessional how the prices were tapped on.
There are way better sushi restaurants around the area, skip this one.

The sushi here was a bit underwhelming. I'm used to getting larger rolls and more for the price.  I'd ordered a flamingo roll and a salmon nigiri roll.  No miso soup came with the order, had to be ordered separately. Service was nice and the place is nicely setup. Overall it was about $30 without tip.

I had passed by this place many times as it's in the shopping mall with my usual grocery store. Being in a strip mall, I was thinking it was more like take out or something. It wasn't until my boyfriend suggested that we go there that I tried it. Our hibachi chef Peter was personable, funny and nice. He did an amazing job and the food was actually incredible. Everything we ate was delicious. It was so good I basically forgot to take any pictures. I do highly recommend this place. It was a fun experience and the food was delicious. It definitely exceeded my expectations and I enjoyed it a lot.

Samurai Hibachi and Sushi Bar is quite frankly one of the best hibachi grills I have ever experienced. I dined in with a friend on a pretty empty night but the music, the staff, the chef and the atmosphere were on point.

My friend and I actually mixed-up this location with another one nearby but it was absolutely worth the detour.👌🏾✨

This has been my family’s go to place since moving to the area a year ago and they just keep getting better each visit! Food is always perfect, never too salty which I find with the steakhouse in Kingstowne. The service is always quick and friendly, and we always leave happy and full :)

So first - location is in L Passage at 52 El-Horeya Rd. We wandered up and down the street trying locate it originally on the map. I have submitted an update to the map, sorry if it wasn't updated by Google.

Outside of the issues of locating the restaurant which is on the corner in the upper level, the place is nice and relaxed. The atmosphere is somewhat noisy due to it being surrounded by another restaurant on the same level and a coffee shop below it. Tables are clean and place is brightly lit.

The staff are helpful, friendly, and patient if you don't know Egyptian Arabic, but they will work with you to get you what you want.

The menu is THE BEST out of any sushi restaurant I have ever been to, clear pricing, clear indication of what the food is, what it looks like, what it's made with, and what it is priced at. They have a wide and varied selection making choosing when you have limited time hard, but did not regret any of our choices.

The Miso soup is a standard fare, doesn't stand out. The Edamame was properly prepared and salted, making it an excellent dish. The Grilled Potstickers(though listed as something else in the menu) were great and came with some excellent sauces, making it unfortunate when they only had four of them and a lot of leftover sauce. The Gunkan we had was a good variety of flavors that made it a joy to eat. The 33 piece dish of Nigiri, Mono shrimp tempaki and Hoso rolls paired with the Togarishi roll was an excellent presentation of the skill of the sushi chefs and the overall quality of the meals. Lastly their Strawberry cheesecake was heavenly, with a light sweet fruit sauce that made the creamy cheesecake and the crunchy crust an amalgam of good flavors and textures.

Separate but no less worth mentioning is the variety of cocktails, which you cannot go wrong with your choices. The Very Passion and the Lemon Mori were excellent fruit drink cocktails that added a great pairing to the food we had, I only wish it was an unlimited refill on the Lemon Mori, I would have had 10 more than the 1 I did have.

Overall a solid top notch experience and any service hiccups came from the small language barrier that we can't fault them for, we are the ones visiting after all.

If price is no object, this is the place. If you are price conscious, consider splitting one of the larger combination meals and taking advantage of the variety that it offers.  Or just remember to enjoy it.

The place is very clean and they follow all the necessary precautions and guidelines for covid-19. It was very quiet, nobody was there except me and my partner. The staff are very professional and friendly. I guess it used to be better before, but the food quality is still amazing, I can’t say anything about that! I totally recommend their vegan/vegetarian rolls in the menu. Just avoid the spicy rolls if your stomach cannot tolerate spicy food.

Great service, great food. I actually forgot I was in Egypt while eating here. The Chirashi was spot on. Thick cuts of fish and everything tasted perfect. Even the rice was cooked and flavored properly. If you are looking for good sushi in Alexandria you need to go here!

Seriously the best Japanese food I've ever eaten. Very intimate environment and made my wife and I feel special for a great birthday dinner. Pretty pricey, but worth it for a special occasion.

One of the best meals i’ve ever had in DC which is saying a lot because I love food. Everything was fresh, unique, and delicious. Highly recommend for a date night or celebration! Don’t sleep on Nasime! Note that this is a very small restaurant with 3 tables and a bar that fits 6 people - definitely make reservations in advance!

The food was absolutely AMAZING! It is expensive, but it is well worth it. The place is very small which makes for a very chill atmosphere. I left very full and very satisfied! I forgot in my reservation I put we were celebrating our anniversary and it was printed on our chocolate for dessert! Sorry the pictures don't do it justice. The octopus and mushrooms was perfect!

Ahhh where to start, this place is a very cute little gem in Old Town the best part about its placement is that it is not along the main strip and just off on a side street. The restaurant is located in an old townhouse so there isn't a ton of space but the space is used very well. They have a downstairs and an upstairs that seats about 20 or so. The sushi bar is located within the feet of all the tables so you can see the chefs whipping everything up as they do it. As far as service goes we were set down immediately the service was a tad bit delayed but primarily because there was one person on the floor but we weren't waiting for that long at all. We ordered a variety of things and everything was quite delicious. I personally ordered one of the sushi bowls which came out with a very succulent fresh fish and sushi rice was amazing as well, the consistency was on the point. I would definitely recommend this place I'm just not for a larger group unless they had seating that I was not aware of. 10/10

About 25 minute wait. Friendly staff. I'm not a big sushi eater but my son wanted to eat there. Had a couple different kinds. I enjoy it and the food was good. No complaints. Would definitely go again. We sat outside to eat at 4 tables they had.

EDITING REVIEW: They charged my credit card $11,000 for a fast food restaurant. Do not eat here, it is clearly criminal and they're not even good at that.

Meal was proof that "likable" and "edible" not two qualities of food that often overlap.

Customer service was just fine, not sure what the other complaints were about. If you're walking into an over worked place where the employees likely don't make enough to deal with people, expect some snark.

My issue was the food. Dumplings were largely overly dry inedible crust, chicken was slimy, rice wasn't bad other than the slime, wasn't brave enough to try the salad, California roll had the fishiest fake fish (normally a sign that it's being cut with something else), and the tempura California roll was better than it's tempura-less counterpart but ever so slightly.

My recommendation, for most dumplings, but especially these are that you mix a solution 2:1 soy sauce and gochujang paste. Makes most of the meal go down easier than yum yum sauce.

Food was tasteless and atmosphere is not inviting. Don't have napkins readily available for customers convenience and sanitizers should be on each table.  Poor management. The only Sarku I don't like.

The chicken isn’t undercooked but it looked and tasted as if it was fried in a pan with the lid over it. It had a rubbery consistency to it. I’m not sure what’s going on with this particular location.

Best Indian food I've had so far in the DC Metro Area!  And reasonably priced.  Bathroom could use an update, but no complaints about food or service. I have loved everything I've tried here.  It's hard to find a place that's consistently good.  Happy I wandered in here!

Clean, well-run family owned business.  Food is well-presented and good. We’ve eaten here during both lunch and dinner and I prefer the lunch menu. It’s flavorful, with an entree over rice, a little salad at a reasonable price. Everyone in my family has a sensitive tummy but we’ve never had an issue here. Definitely in our rotation.

First thing to note is how nice and clean the place looks. The design, cleanliness, and even temperature is nice.

Service is great and polite, but I was alone in the store. Can't say what it's really like.

The chicken curry is quite good. Naan is fluffy. Chicken melts in your mouth. My only complaint is that the flavor is light. I wouldn't expect that from Indian food, but maybe it's the area.

Very good prices! The soy sauce ramen and sushi were very good. I will be back to try other dishes. The floors were sticky like a mug tho someone clean that thang 🧼🧹🧹
2nd visit: I Stopped by here after a bike ride to mt Vernon and went to town on the ramen and spicy Thai basil chicken. It was delicious.

Earlier I had given this place very good reviews,  but the quality of the food is getting worse. Burned/ overcooked also fried in oil that was used many many times, has a bad taste.

We went here for my friends birthday dinner and we weren't disappointed. Everything on the menu that we ordered was amazing!! I recommend trying tomato.basil sushi. It's something new and refreshing!!

Might become my new go-to spot for sushi and ramen in the DMV. Really creative rolls at very reasonable prices, including a lot of veggie options. Fish tasted very fresh. Ramen had a great broth and the pork was delicious and generously portioned. Didn’t see any outdoor seating options if that’s a concern for you I would call ahead to check.

UPDATE: Yep, this has become my go-to spot. Simply the best combination of freshness, price, and creative flavors. Reliably delicious every time. Rakuya in Dupont is great too for a little higher quality nigiri/sashimi.

Always love Sushi Jin on King St. We live just 2 mins away and we’re here at least once monthly. Clean, friendly service, soft lighting and chill ambiance. And of course a great food selection. We always default to a selection of sushi rolls, different each time. Never disappointed. Our kids love it too, esp miso soup and the simpler rolls.

I literally walked in the door as soon as they were opening one day and was greeted immediately. I placed my order and my sushi was prepared on the spot. Everything was excellent, and I even ended up sharing with my mom when I get home because of the portion size. Definitely one of the best hands-down!
